Visitor Arrivals

There were 21,753 arrivals from Hong Kong in the year ending September 2008, a 5.5 per cent decrease on the previous year. This number is expected to rise on average by 0.2 per cent annually between 2008 and 2014.

Annual visitor arrivals from Hong Kong declined in 2007 to 22,687 (down 3.7%). Arrivals from Hong Kong fluctuate markedly across the year, generally with peaks in February, July and December. December 2007 was a particularly strong month, showing growth of 15% on the same month in 2006.
