Tourism New Zealand supports business events

Tourism New Zealand is working hard to attract more international business events which delivered over $403m to the economy in 2023.

Tourism New Zealand is working hard to attract more international business events which delivered over $403m to the economy in 2023.

Business Events are valuable because they deliver a range of benefits to New Zealand including being held across the year and across the country, deliver higher spend per visitor and contribute to growing New Zealand’s knowledge and expertise across a broad range of topics in science, technology, the environment and society.

TNZ is making it easier for international events organisers to market destination New Zealand and attract events with a new Delegate Marketing Hub featuring more than 150 assets to help conference and event organisers promote their upcoming event in New Zealand.

Tourism New Zealand General Manager NZ & Business Events Bjoern Spreitzer says: “We know the opportunity to explore New Zealand plays an important part in enticing delegates to attend conferences hosted here.”

“The hub is designed to support organisers on their conference hosting journey and ensure the events held here enrich New Zealand beyond the economic impact, by providing meaningful connections with our culture, people, and environment.”

The library of free marketing tools includes videos, social media content, sample itineraries, pre-written copy, and toolkits to support conference organisers.
